I had such a great time last weekend working with a group of pupils from South Lee school to create a backdrop for their school production of Alice In Wonderland (appropriate!). It was designed by Lucy Howard who came up with a brilliant dark and mysterious looking design.
The pupils artistic skills (especially their drawing) were seriously impressive and we finished the cloth in 3 hours flat which was pretty good going I'd say. By the way, when I say "WE finished" I mean THEY did...I hardly painted anything!
So next time I need to paint a backdrop, I know who I'm roping in...then I can put my feet up and have cup of tea while they do all the hard work!
Well done to all of the pupils and a BIG thank you to Miss Wright the art teacher for organising it all and giving up her Saturday to be there!
